For all the workaholics I know:
If you put your nose to the grindstone rough
And keep it down there long enough,
You’ll soon forget there are such things
As brooks that babble and birds that sing.
In time three things will your world compose:
Just you and the stone and your poor old nose.
And you thought this was for tax advice only..
When you work for the thing you believe in,
you’re rich though the whole way is rough.
but work that is simply for money
will never quite pay you enough.
– Rebecca McCann
We are not sent into this world to do anything into which we cannot put our whole hearts. We have certain things to do for our bread, and that is to be done strenuously; other work to do for our delight, and that is to be done heartily; neither is to be done by halves or shifts, but with a will, and what is not worth this effort is not to be done at all.
– John Ruskin
We hope you enjoy your visit and come back often.
We are not writing as professional writers, but as casual bloggers making sure our fingers know the home row as well as they did when we were forced to practice asdfjkl; over and over and over again, without missing a stroke. Do you remember then, with the Smith Corona?
Cheers!

This is the first blog post for Taxprep4u.ca where we will keep you up to date with the latest from our tax information provided, and make you aware that not all accounting types are all accounting!
Have a nice time here, and drop us a line with your favorites.

This is the last day of 2017, December 31, and Sunday will start a new year number 2018.
This flower was photograhed in Isola Bella this past September while we toured West Europe. Eight countries in 12 days is still a big blurr. It will take a while to digest what was gorged.
It has been busy for us in the office all year, especially during March and April when we are wholly focused on personal T1 Canadian Tax Returns, and still manage to keep up with the other bookkeeping and accounting issues so we don’t fall behind.
It has also been our sincere pleasure to serve you in that area that we are so honored to acquire from you, and to become your “part time permanent controller”, gives us the perfect purpose that we profess to enjoy and perform for you.
Please do not hesitate to contact us and leave a message as to the best time to contact you in response to your inquiry. We have found it is to our mutual advantage for us to stay focused on the work we have at hand, and not to be constantly picking up the phone, rather to pace ourselves, and reply back when we can take a break from our routine, and get prepared to respond to your needs as quickly as time permits. Please do not take offence to this, our practice, but engage us to be a part of your team.
The past few weeks have been really cold outside so we have just taken exercise by mall walking, and Netflix viewing. The exercise from the latter is by getting up to turn the fireplace setting to a lower one, and the former one is by circling like a hamster 5 times around to put in the 50 minutes of un-shopping. Just wait till the day the superintendent of the building approaches us with “we only allow shoppers in this mall”, or “will you be the newest mallwalker representative”. In the first case, we will invite them for coffee, and in that case, we are indeed a shopper, and in the latter, we would apologize as if cameras were causing us to become grossly shy.
Take care, and drop us a line when the spirit guides you to do so.

I went to the Sail outlet to view the fishing reels being sold because it’s actually been about fifty years since I dangled a bamboo rod at the edge of the dock on Tindle Bay on Lake Chemong.
When it was mentioned to me that I was not a fisherman and a hundred dollar reel was out of the question, I purchased the last forty dollar demo at forty percent off.
I said when I show what kind if fisherman I really am, the hundred dollar one may be a waged present sometime, the opportunity presented itself the very next day.
What can I say? Hihihi!
It’s only been about two weeks since the toad eggs hatched in the pond. Before that there was almost a week of night time croaking which almost sounded like an adult cricket party with their deep throat vibrations. The tiny legs are beginning to sprout and the tadpoles will soon creep onto the rocks in the pond and they will emerge to the dry earth soon enough. What a process to witness!
Do you know the planets in “our” solar system?
Try this web site on for size:
It will give you interesting reading, and take your mind from Peterborough to Mars, and possibly back again.
On the Good Ship Lollipop, Happy Landing on a chocolate bar.
By the way, do you know where this “featured image” can be located?
It’s on the “Artie” in Jackson’s Park, Peterborough Ontario, where I learned how to catch shiners and chubs with a dip net and a piece of bread dropped on the water’s surface. We let most of them go, and the rest became pets for a few days.

If You Want True Wealth…
Remember What Is Most Important
It’s not having everything go right;
it’s facing whatever goes wrong.
It’s not being without fear;
it’s having the determination
to go on in spite of it.
It is not where you stand,
but the direction you’re going in.
It’s more than never having bad moments;
it’s knowing you are always
bigger than the moment
It’s believing you have already
been given everything
you need to handle life.
It’s not being able to rid
the world of all its injustices;
it’s being able to rise above them.
It’s the belief in your heart
that there will always be
more good than bad in the world.
Remember to live just this one day
and not add tomorrow’s troubles
to today’s load.
Remember that every day ends
and brings a new tomorrow
full of exciting new things.
Love what you do,
do the best you can,
and always remember
how much you are loved.
